Students learn traditional metalsmithing and jewelry processes while creating and building their own jewelry and sculpture
who can take this class?Who
The Metalsmithing and Jewelry classes are open to all students in grades 9-12. There are no pre-requisites to sign up for Jewelry/ Metals level 1. There are upper levels classes offered as well such as Jewelry 2,3,4 and Contract Study. You must have taken and passed the previous course to move onto the next level.

What's it all about?What
Students can earn a .5 Career and Technical Education credit or fine arts credit for each metalsmithing/ jewelry class they take. Upon successful completion of Levels 1,2,3 and 4 students will receive a certificate of mastery. Students will build and create their own pieces of jewelry and sculpture during this course with a focus on workplace skills and artistic expression.

Current students at AMHS can enroll online or make an appointment with your counselor to get signed up today! During fall semester there is Advanced Jewelry (levels 2,3,4,5) during 2nd period and Introduction to Jewelry is offered 3rd,4th,5th, and 6th period. During spring semester there is Advanced Jewelry (levels 2,3,4,5) during 2nd period, Jewelry 2 during 3rd period and Introduction to Jewelry is offered 4th,5th, and 6th period.
